Day 7: Jog falls, Shimoga and Bangalore

Mungaru Male Point
The day started early and we went in to have a final look at the desiccated Jog falls. Since it did not arouse much interest we dropped the plan of going all the way down to the base of the falls instead we planned to view the falls from the top of it. The view from the top is well known here as the Mungaru male point.

With some photo clicks it was time to head back. The stretch from Sagara to Shimoga also called the Bangalore Honnavara road or BH road is mesmerizing. Like I had mentioned in the prologue to this post, its like driving in Scotland and I had the opportunity to fulfill my wish to drive on a national way (NH 206).

Yummy breakfast at Pavithra Residency
Sparing the only a stop at Pavithra Residency in Sagara for breakfast we drove straight to Shimoga to my aunts place. With a sumptuous lunch and small power nap for Vivek we were charged up to hit the road to Bangalore. The weather had changed drastically thanks to the Thane Cyclone in East coast and this made our journey back very picturesque and delightful.

The moment we reached the Tumkur road, it was bidding farewell to an adventurous, superb and fantastic road trip.
